What much better place to raise a household, Mt Martha actually has everything. Green, peaceful, village environment, fantastic restaraunts, schools, medical facilities, parks and beach nearby. Moved here 7 years back from an acreage home, where I believed was quiet and peaceful, till I came here. Must confess I do hate it when the tourists all assemble on our personal little oasis, however times like thses I avoid the infuriating crowds.
When I went on a whirlwind trip through United States, UK and Greek Islands, I can honestly say that I missed this location more than anything. Grateful to call this location my home.
Mount Martha is situated between Safety Beach on the Mornington Peninsula, fronting Port Phillip. While Mount Martha offers just a small industrial centre in Lochiel Avenue, it is a perfect location for those visitors looking for a scenic and less industrial vacation area where the surrounding bushland fulfills the coast. Safe swimming beaches with large sandy stretches exist just north and south of the commercial centre, lined with rows of colourful bathing boxes.
A beneficial drive is along the Esplanade – a seaside roadway connecting Mount Martha with Mornington in the north and Safety Beach in the south.
